Dr. Asta Tobiassen was born in Norway and moved with her family to the Seattle area when she was just seven years old. Since moving to the United States, she has lived up and down the West Coast, stretching from Los Angeles all way to Anchorage, Alaska! Dr. Tobiassen received her Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from U. C. Davis. After finishing veterinary school, she spent an extra year at U. C. Davis studying Preventive Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Tobiassen has been practicing veterinary medicine in the South Sound since 1996. She is dedicated to developing meaningful connections with the pets and owners she sees by providing the best, individualized care possible. Her main veterinary interests include Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Behavior, and Hospital Care. In her free time, Dr. Tobiassen’s hobbies include birding, photography, and cooking. She shares her home with her dogs, terrier-mixes named Birdy and Pipit, her two cats, Ivy and Sonja, and her partner who is also a veterinarian.

Dr. Christopher Eugenio was born in Manila, Philippines. He got his Bachelor’s of Animal Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA in 1990 and got his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Eugenio has lived in Washington since 2008 with his wife Jessica, son Tyler and daughter Kelsie. As his family is allergic to cats and most dogs they currently have fish, a hypoallergenic Bichon named Lacey and a Yorkie named Kona. Other than spending time with his family Dr. Eugenio enjoys bowling, target shooting, playing guitar and fishing. Before starting here at Fircrest Veterinary in November of 2011, he worked 10.5 years in a Mixed Animal Practice (Birds, Reptiles, and Exotics) in Moscow, ID. He then worked 4 years in a Specialty Hospital in Reno, NV is the main surgeon, doing ultrasounds and exotic pet care until he moved to the Northwest and was Chief of Staff in a small animal clinic for 4 years. Dr. Eugenio specializes in orthopedic surgeries such as FHO, TPLO, and ACL Surgeries. He also takes a special interest in ultrasounds and working with exotic pets (birds, reptilians, rabbits, rats, mice, ext.).

Angela (aka Angie) Hager was born at McChord Airforce Base, 7.5 weeks premature, weighing in at only 4lbs. She was so tiny she had to wear doll clothes home from the hospital. Angie has lived in Tacoma her entire life and married her high school sweetheart, Rob. They have two children: Caylah and Cody. Caylah is a first-grade teacher and Cody works here at the clinic. Angie has 1 Chihuahua (Elvis), 1 Dachshund (Buddy) and 2 cats (Mollie Unicorn & Oliver Pumpkin, whom were named by her granddaughter). In her free time, she likes to cuddle with her puppies, spend time with her beautiful granddaughter, Darla Louise, and listen to country music. Angie has been working at this clinic since 1994!
